Fourth Generation (4G) mobiles
4G also called as Fourth-Generation Communications System, is a term used to describe the next step in wireless communications. A 4G system can provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and streamed multimedia can be provided to users on an "Anytime, Anywhere" basis. The data transfer rates are also much higher than previous generations.

The main objectives of 4G are:

2)This will be capable of providing 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s speeds both indoors and outdoors.

3)It can provide premium quality and high security.

4)4G offer all types of services at an affordable cost.

4G is developed to provide high quality of service (QoS) and rate requirements set by forthcoming applications such as wireless broadband access, Multimedia Messaging, Video Chat, Mobile TV, High definition TV content, DVB, minimal service like voice and data, and other streaming services.
4G technology allow high-quality smooth video transmission. It will enable fast downloading of full-length songs or music pieces in real time.

The business and popularity of 4Gmobiles is predicted to be very vast. On an average, by 2009, this 4Gmobile market will be over $400B and it will dominate the wireless communications, and its converged system will replace most conventional wireless infrastructure.
Data Rates For 4G:
The downloading speed for mobile Internet connections is from 9.6 kbit/s for 2G cellular at present. However, in actual use the data rates are usually slower, especially in crowded areas, or when there is congestion in network.

4G mobile data transmission rates are planned to be up to 20 megabits per second which means that it will be about 10-20 times faster than standard ASDL services.

In terms of connection seeds, 4G will be about 200 times faster than present 2G mobile data rates, and about 10 times faster than 3G broadband mobile. 3G data rates are currently 2Mbit/sec, which is very fast compared to 2G's 9.6Kbit/sec.

New iPad goes on sale in China after suit settled

 APPLE  released its newest iPad in China on Friday after settling a lawsuit over ownership of its name and requiring buyers to place orders in advance to control crowds.
Watched by security guards, a few dozen shoppers waited outside stores in Beijing and Shanghai, which opened on time at 8 a.m. That was in contrast to the chaotic scene outside Apple's main Beijing store in January, when some customers who wanted to buy a new iPhone shouted and threw eggs after managers delayed the opening due to safety concerns about the hundreds of people waiting.

China is Apple's second-largest market after the United States and the source of much of the Cupertino, California-based company's sales growth.

If you enjoy drawing or sketching and own an Android phone or tablet, this article is for you. There are a good number of apps currently in Google Play that will help you tap into your creative side. I was pleasantly impressed with these apps and what you can do on an electronic canvas.

Infinite Design (Free Version) – Free

The app starts off with a nice selection of video tutorials on how to use the app and its features. It also provides an explanation of each menu item and some helpful tips. The app layout is done in such a way to maximize the drawing area. The top of the screen is your menu, while the buttons on the bottom set colors and brush styles. There are over 10 different brush styles and five different types of symmetry you can use. You can create layers, have unlimited undo/redos and can save/export your file. There is a pro version to remove the ads and the developers also offer the Infinite Painter app.

Picasso - Draw, Paint, Doodle! – Free

Picasso - Draw, Paint, Doodle is one of three drawing/painting apps from DPs World. This ad-supported app is very simple to use. There is no help section and it has only five menu items: paint the whole canvas, color selector, brush selector, eraser and undo. Within the brush selector, you can choose the size and up to four different styles. The app allows you to load stored photos from you device and paint on them The app does have a share feature so you can email your masterpiece to others.

Pocket Sketchbook Lite – Free

Pocket Sketchbook has a nicely done help section to get you started with the features and even indicates which are only available in the pro version. To start, you set up your canvas or loaded photo. Once that is done, the menu is then displayed. As with the previous app, it has a very simple menu. The first button is the pen setting and within there you can choose color, style, shapes, text and so on. Many of these items are only available in the pro version, though. One of the other buttons on the menu is a zoom in/out button. This works very well when you need to work on small details. You can use the app in either portrait or landscape mode.

SketchBook Mobile Express – Free

Sketchbook Mobile is one of the more popular drawing apps out there. When you first open the app, you see nothing but a small circle of dots. Tap those dots and the menu options open up. This app definitely was designed to give you the maximum drawing space. To start a new drawing or get to the very detailed help section, hit the phone’s menu button. The app has a huge number of options you can customize. You can add text, use different style brushes, add layers, create symmetric drawings, and import/export drawings. The free version offers a lot, but with the pro version, you get 40 extra brushes, a brush editor, up to six layers and can create larger sized canvas.

Paint Commander (Free Drawing) – Free

Paint Commander is another easy to pick up and use drawing app. It is very straightforward and has no help section. Select your canvas, your brush style and color, and go. The app does have some nice options to it. There are 12 different brush styles and with each style you choose, you can select/edit a number of options. 

YouTube unveils face-blurring tool

Video website YouTube unveiled on Wednesday a way for users to automatically blur human faces in videos they upload, a feature that would help protect the identities of political dissidents, YouTube parent Google Inc said.
In recent months YouTube has hosted dozens of videos from the rebellion in Syria, often uploaded by rebels seeking to publicize their struggle. But the videos have also revealed the identity of rebel fighters.

The feature also allows for the original copy of the uploaded video to be deleted. Videos may also be kept private.

"YouTube is proud to be a destination where people worldwide come to share their stories, including activists," YouTube said.

World Record: Lightest Material in the World Produced

A network of porous carbon tubes that is three-dimensionally interwoven at nano and micro level -- this is the lightest material in the world. It weights only 0.2 milligrams per cubic centimetre, and is therefore 75 times lighter than Styrofoam, but it is very strong nevertheless. Scientists of Kiel University (KU) and Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) have named their joint creation "Aerographite."

Facebook Unveils App Discovery Platform: The App Center

Facebook has announced the App Center, a new place for people to find social apps. The App Center gives developers an additional way to grow their apps and creates opportunities for more types of apps to be successful.

For the over 900 million people that use Facebook, the App Center will become the new, central place to find great apps like Draw Something, Pinterest, Spotify, Battle Pirates, Viddy, and Bubble Witch Saga.

Everything has an app detail page, which helps people see what makes an app unique and lets them install it before going to an app.

The App Center will go live on Facebook and in Facebook’s iOS and Android apps in a few weeks. Meanwhile, developers are encouraged to update their apps before the launch to ensure they can participate.
